A request from the QM

To help the DRC team and, hopefully, yourself

If you wish to borrow some of the things that the DRC holds please try and think with the following sequence / timetable in mind

Plan your event

Book the equipment on the DRC website – this should be done, hopefully, days / weeks before you need to collect and definitely before the pickup Tuesday.

The Tuesday before the event – the usual pickup day

The event

Return the gear – this will usually be the Tuesday after your event

The booking system is set up to only allow reservations to start on the Tuesday so it’s not possible to reserve it on, say, Wednesday, or later, for the same week. Also the DRC team are not set up as a 24/7/52 service so giving the team sufficient notice is important.

The sooner you book the gear on the system the more time and opportunity it gives the DRC team to ensure it is available and in good working order.

If you leave it too late the gear may be unavailable, may not be there, may be in repair or the team may not be available to extract the items.
