The Aerial Runway Kit comp rises a long (about 100m) of 24mm synthetic fibre rope, two closed loop double sheave pulleys with a natural fibre rope for tensioning. Moused hooked pulleys are not acceptable for use on runways.

The travelling pulley is a special double sheaved tandem item and supports a wooden seat.

There are two fully adjustable fall arrest harnesses, strops and sacking to anchor round trees, several shackles, a pullback rope and a long length of bungee elastic to act as a progressive brake.

The kit also needs to be used with pioneering poles to provide support tripods at either end or if suitable trees as anchorage positions are not available a ground anchor is available

 

It should be noted that because of the potential risks involved it is the District Policy that this kit may only be used by experienced and competent persons who will erect and operate it in accordance the SA Aerial Runway Code FS120006.
